Long ago scores of real pirates plundered unsuspecting travelers of the Caribbean.  Blackbeard, Calico Jack Rackham, Ann Bonny, Mary Read, and Black Bart were among the infamous pirates whose crews lied in wait to violently raid the merchant ships of various nations.  Henry Morgan was selected by the British Governor of Jamaica to command more than 1,500 buccaneers, becoming one of the first true great pirates, leading daring attacks and conquests of Spanish colonies at Portobello and Panama.  These true stories of who they were go far beyond popular legend.
