Dieting is a multi-billion dollar a year industry.  However, more than 97% of the people who lose weight are doomed to regain it.  Dieting causes great stress to our body.  Yo-Yo dieting can destroy our health.  We cannot properly lose weight or keep lost weight off if we are not aware of the mechanisms our bodies use to prevent us from losing weight and those mechanisms that make us regain lost weight.  Only by being aware of these mechanisms can we devise a strategy to effectively lose weight and keep it off.
