In 1985, I founded an accounting software business, Applied Accounting Technology. During that time, I enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in Transpersonal Psychology (Atlantic University) hoping to learn how to better motivate my employees. Instead, I found a passion in studying ancient people, their cultures, their spiritual ideas, their mythology and ancient texts, and their monuments. I had no idea that I’d discover the true connection between the mind and emotions within these ancient texts. I wasn’t looking for anything specific. But, as I read and applied what I was reading, I began to resurrect principles and ideas that had been long lost.
Something had shifted within me. My drive to compete was being replaced with a spirit of compassion. In 1997, I sold my business and began studying ancient cultures full time. I also expanded my studies by acquiring a Ph.D. in Esoteric Studies from American Pacific University in Hawaii.
I currently teach my ideas in a humanitarian, experiential workshop throughout Virginia helping people to find their passion, heal their bodies and emotions, and find abundance.
My cruise topics are unique in that they incorporate ancient history, unique cultural perspectives, mythology, and the symbolism of the destinations. On my recent Alaska cruise, people were arriving as much as 45 minutes early to assure a good seat. They commented that they not only learned about the people of Alaska, but also learned how to read the symbols of the culture making their excursions more interesting. In Egypt, one woman commented that my talks were more interesting than the excursions. People are hungry for a new and unique point of view. I always promise them an interesting dinner conversation. And I keep my promise by offering true edu-tainment that sparks the imagination and excites their mind to think creatively. In addition, guests often feel that my talks bridge the differences between cultures and eliminate cultural prejudices.
My intention is to heighten the senses of the guests and to enhance their experience at the destinations. Therefore, all of my presentations include extensive PowerPoint presentations. Most include a handout with additional material.
